The story centres on teenage boy Tanjiro Kamado’s journey with his sister Nezuko as they avenge their family’s deaths after they are brutally killed by demons.

Who is Nezuko

In the series’ plot, Nezuko is the only member of Tanjiro’s family to survive the horrific attack – but at a cost. Becoming cursed, the anime character is turned into a demon, and the protagonist sets out to find a cure. Nezuko is a petite young girl with fair skin, visibly large, prominent fangs, and sharp, claw-like nails that fade to red where they point.

Her hair is long, black and reaches just below her waist, turning a vermilion colour as it passes her elbows, and appears to be crimped into large, straight ridges, worn side-swept drastically to her left. She has soft-looking, pale pink eyes that appear a lighter colour around the rims of their irises, slanted downwards towards the sides of her face and framed by notably long eyelashes, the pupils of which can appear slit as she transforms.

One of the main characters of the Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demon Slayer) anime and manga series is Nezuko Kamado. She is the younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado, and the two of them are the only remaining members of the Kamado clan after the demon Muzan Kibutsuji attacked and murdered their entire family.

The cosplay consists of a light pink kimono that has triangle patterns design all over it. The set also comes with a large red and white checkered sash tied around the waist and an orange thread looped over the checkered sash. The Nezuko Kamado cosplay set also comes with a green ribbon above the sash and a black Kamino that is shin-length long. The character’s outfit will also come with a pair of wooden sandals with pink straps and a black cloth tied around the ankles. The costume is completed with a long black wig that has brown tips and a bamboo gag prop that the character bites into.

As a human being, Nezuko Kamado is kind and caring, worrying more about the welfare of others than on her own. She was also one of the most beautiful ladies in their village. But when she became a demon, her body also transformed, revealing demon-like traits. Her eyes became pale pink, and she developed vermillion hair. Her teeth also became sharp, which is why she needed to wear a typical bamboo gag.

As for her memories and personality, she forgot a big portion of it, only retaining her caring and kind nature. But she only shows this personality to people her memory considers as a family like her brother. Though she is a demon, she doesn’t act like one. She is not savage or ruthless, and she also retained certain human emotions, like the ability to cry. As one of the main characters, Nezuko Kamado is a good option for Demon Slayer cosplay.
